On 23 November 2025, the Filipino-Australian community came together in a remarkable display of unity, generosity, and cultural pride as the Philippine Australian Social Club for Good Governance Incorporated (PASCGGI) hosted its very first Christmas Party at Pabico. The event, filled with camaraderie, entertainment, and community spirit, successfully raised $3,500.00 through a charity auction—funds that have since been channelled to two designated beneficiaries in the Philippines.
Led by the organisation’s dedicated officers, PASCGGI ensured that every dollar donated made its way to communities most affected by the devastating impacts of Typhoon Tino, which recently struck various regions in the Visayas. Following careful assessment and coordination with local contacts, the funds were divided between two locations:
-
$2,000 allocated to Cebu, supporting immediate Typhoon Tino relief operations
-
$1,500 allocated to Leyte, directed towards outreach activities and the completion of a kindergarten school ceiling damaged during the disaster
These contributions aim to provide both urgent assistance and long-term support to families rebuilding their lives.

A Community Organisation with Heart and Purpose
The Philippine Australian Social Club for Good Governance Inc. is a community-based organisation registered in New South Wales under the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (Registration No. INC2500591). PASCGGI was established with the mission of promoting unity, empowerment, and accountability among Filipino-Australians while strengthening relationships within the broader Australian community.

The association recognises the significant contributions of Filipino migrants to Australia and strives to provide a supportive, empowering environment for its members. At the centre of its advocacy is a commitment to justice, equality, and genuine community upliftment. The organisation firmly believes that no family or individual should be left behind—especially in the face of discrimination, systemic disadvantage, or personal hardship.
Through its programs and outreach initiatives, PASCGGI works to ensure every person in the community has access to equal opportunity and fair treatment. This includes providing practical support, advocacy, and pathways to empowerment for those who need it most.

Commitment to Disaster Relief and Global Filipino Solidarity
Beyond its local community work, PASCGGI is deeply connected to the Philippines and remains steadfast in supporting Filipino families affected by calamities. The organisation actively raises funds and mobilises resources to assist areas struck by natural disasters, including typhoons, floods, and other emergencies.

Working in collaboration with local leaders, volunteers, and grassroots organisations, PASCGGI helps deliver emergency aid, relief goods, financial assistance, and community rebuilding resources. Every initiative is carried out by volunteers who generously give their time, expertise, and compassion to uplift those facing adversity.
The recent support sent to Cebu and Leyte through the Christmas charity event stands as another testament to PASCGGI’s ongoing mission of compassion, service, and global Filipino unity.

The success of PASCGGI’s initiatives is made possible by a committed team working tirelessly behind the scenes:
-

Their shared passion for community development and strong advocacy for good governance continues to inspire Filipino-Australians across New South Wales.

Heartfelt Gratitude to the Community
PASCGGI extends its sincerest appreciation to everyone who attended and supported the Christmas charity event. The success of the fundraiser would not have been possible without the generosity of sponsors, donors, volunteers, and bidders who participated in the auction.

The organisation expresses its deepest thanks to the Filipino-Australian community for their unwavering support, compassion, and commitment to making a difference. Each contribution—big or small—helped bring hope and assistance to families in Cebu and Leyte who are recovering from the devastation of Typhoon Tino.
As PASCGGI continues its mission to promote empowerment, unity, and good governance, the organisation looks forward to expanding its outreach efforts and strengthening its ties with both the local and global Filipino community.
